Anti-skid road safety measures – WeTraffic 492

Improving safety at three critical locations
Anti-skid road safety measures – WeTraffic 492

Anti-skid treatment for a high-risk road section

In one of Prague's districts, we implemented anti-skid safety measures at three critical points along a selected road section. The goal was to improve traffic safety while using a striking red surface to alert drivers to areas requiring increased attention.

Before applying the anti-skid system, we first carried out local repairs to the existing pavement, including patching potholes and cracks. This created a high-quality, stable base for the subsequent application of the safety layer.

The highly durable WeTraffic 492 anti-skid system was applied to the prepared surface in red, achieving a skid resistance value of PTV > 65.

The result is a safety measure that combines superior anti-skid properties with a clear visual highlight of critical areas. Drivers are not only alerted to the high-risk section visually, but they also benefit from significantly improved road surface grip in these locations.
