Standard plastic road markings have a limited lifespan on cobblestones. The uneven and textured surface causes the plastic to gradually loosen and peel, requiring frequent reapplication.
For this project, we mechanically ground down the original plastic markings and thoroughly prepared the surface. We then applied a special PMMA primer to ensure a strong bond with the substrate. We filled the joints and irregularities between the cobblestones to create a continuous base for the final layer.
We then applied the highly durable, anti-skid white WeTraffic PMMA system to the prepared surface. The result is a compact, non-slip surface with high adhesion and mechanical resistance, designed for long-term traffic loads and a significantly longer lifespan compared to standard plastic markings.
