The test area of the WETRAFFIC thin-film colour system WETRAFFIC was carried out on the A2 cycle path in the Prague Podolí district. The aim was to verify the functional, safety and application characteristics of the system in real operating conditions of a frequented urban cycle route.
The test section was designed to allow long-term monitoring of surface behavior under cycling load, climatic influences and routine maintenance of communications.

The main purpose of the application was:
At the same time, the test area serves as a reference demonstration of the visual and functional contribution of coloured surfaces on cycling roads.
The application was made as a thin film WETRAFFIC colour system designed to highlight traffic areas with mixed or cycle traffic.
Implementations included:
The colour solution was chosen in view of the optical highlighting of the cycle route and increasing the safety of users.
Measurement of anti-shear parameters was carried out within the framework of the implementation PTV — Pendulum Test Value. The measured values correspond to the requirements of the relevant standards for walking surfaces, which confirms the safe use of the surface in terms of adhesion and minimization of the risk of slipping.
At the same time, this measurement serves as a reference basis for assessing the suitability of WETRAFFIC for applications on cycle paths and other roads with the movement of pedestrians and cyclists.
The test area brings several key benefits:
At the same time, it provides important data for the further development and application of the WETRAFFIC system in the conditions of urban cycle paths.
The implementation serves as a validation and presentation area of WETRAFFIC technology and is used for:
